Description:

Meet the Flip Grip, a handheld accessory for vertical-mode gaming on the Switch. A pair of Joy-con rails on either side of the grip allow you to flip the Switch 90 degrees for vertical handheld action.

The Flip Grip makes portable vertical-mode gaming possible. Simply slide the Switch into the Flip Grip, then attach Joy-Cons, and voila — a handheld system capable of playing vertical-mode games without wasting a single pixel of real estate.

The Flip Grip is a collaboration between video game historian and Retronauts founder Jeremy Parish, engineer and designer Mike Choi, and Fangamer.

DOES work with OLED, BUT…
It DOES work with OLED…..BUT it can’t “lock” into place as the lock tab doesn’t line up on the OLED model. So I’m sure for liability reasons they SAY it doesn’t work, but really it does. You’re just assuming all risk of the console sliding out inadvertently. But honestly there’s enough friction once inserted that you’d have to be doing something extreme for it to fall out.

flippidy flip..its a trip
man im sitting here stuck in the house w/ a sinus tumor..all i can do is be patient & game to keep my spirits up..i bought the flip grip while ago for shmups and pinball..glorius..then tetris effect went vertical for both journey and effect modes..even the classic nes tetris mode..brilliant. & yes it fits fine w/ my OLED Switch..pair this w/ some full-size third-party joycons w/ rumble & its like a new console. i respect the steam deck but it can't flip like this.

Works perfectly.
The product is incredible. I am finally able to play DS and 3DS games on my switch. They play perfectly and everything fits right! The feeling of holding it is very good, and not as uncomfortable as I thought. Overall, amazing product and worth the price point.

Why do they say OLED doesn’t work????? It does!
I have no idea why they say OLED switch not compatible. Makes no sense. It fits and works identically to the way the original switch did. There isn’t a day I don’t use my OLED switch with this. Is there some reason they’re saying this??? Makes no sense at all.

Vertical gaming with ease, works brilliantly with OLED!
Flip Grip description says it doesn't work with OLED but after reading others reviews I made the purchase anyway and hoped for the best. Guess what, it works brilliantly with OLED! I didn't have to make any adjustments, cut or shave anything down. My joycons locked in and the main screen per the instruction illustrations slid in nice and snug!! I can't say enough about the Flip Grip, I can now play all my vertical games including pinball perfectly either on the go or just curled up on the couch with ease. Thank you Fangamer for this awesome piece of hardware! I love it!!
