This one-of-a-kind video documentary takes you inside developer Supergiant Games for every step of the game’s journey: from before its surprise announcement in 2018, to its full launch almost two years later, and beyond as the game grew into a worldwide phenomenon. The result is a unique chronicle of one of the most celebrated games of 2020, and an insightful look at how a small team can bring a game to life.

Presented in a new 251-minute director’s cut of the original six-part video documentary series from Noclip’s YouTube channel, this special region-free Blu-ray release includes a booklet about the project, as well as a reversible front jacket designed by Josh Barnett and a bonus sticker illustrated by Nina Matsumoto.

Noclip is a small team making crowdfunded video game documentaries for everyone to enjoy, and whose mission is to tell authentic stories about video games, the people who make them, and those who play them. Their work is funded by a community of Patrons and free of sponsored content.

As crowdfunding is what made Developing Hell possible to begin with, proceeds from this new Blu-ray release go to Noclip so that they can keep shining a light on how games are made.

Since I've received it...
Since I've received it in the mail, I've found myself staring and smiling at my copy of Hades: Developing Hell. It's a great looking package that reminds me of the amazing journey Noclip took us on through the development of one of the best and most influential games of the last few years.

Incredibly cool to have physically, and a must-have for any Hades fans!
Simply put, a seriously fantastic documentary. You can feel the love put into it. The little manual is super cool, and the presentation of it all is phenomenal! I got completely obsessed with it, and watching it also got me back into Hades again! It's just really cool to have something like this physically, so thank you for making this!

So Good I Bought Two!
I just heard on the podcast that there was only one review on here, so I decided to add one for my purchase as well (I gotchu). I have been a lazy supporter of Noclip since it started, and maybe one of these days I'll get around to joining the Patreon, but I bought 2 copies of this Blu-Ray so I could give one away to a friend who I introduced to Noclip. If you were at all curious (and why wouldn't you be), this release works perfectly on a PS3 hooked up to a 27" CRT TV. Maybe I'll watch back again in HD some day haha. Keep up the good work Noclip crew!

Great physical release of this gaming documentary!
The wait was worth it! I'm very pleased with the overall presentation and content of this Blu-ray. Would like to see Fangamer and Noclip collaborate on more physical releases in the future!
