Wish there were more aida squares
The kit was fun to do. I just wish they had more aida squares so you could do all of the patterns in the book. I also noticed that some patterns require a very, very light shade of yellow that wasn't included with the floss which made the Starfruit pattern impossible to do without providing some of my own. I had more than enough floss to do all of the patterns and have a ton left over that I think I will use for future projects (I did use one strand and folded it though). If you prefer using an embroidery hoop, you have to provide your own. Luckily I had a couple small ones from some other kits I did that worked fine. I will give it three stars because while it is fun, it does have a few flaws.

Would make a great gift!
I am experienced with cross stitch and thought this might be something easy and fun to pack in my purse and pass the time when I'm in waiting rooms or other idle situations that pop up. I did get a chuckle at the motley mix of floss brands in the pack, but it was all neatly assorted and the instructions are very easy to read. The aida squares are nice and stiff so you don't need a loop to work on these tiny little projects. I have a lot of friends who love Stardew so I thought it might be cute to make these with little messages to send in cards for them as a token of my thoughts.
All this aside, I wouldn't invest in this kit as an experienced cross-stitcher unless you're like me and looking for something easy to shove in your purse. However this would make a great gift for a friend who is looking for a hobby and loves Stardew, or a kiddo (appropriately aged considering there are needles- however while it recommends an age of 10 I was cross stitching when I was 8 so really just be your own judge on whether a kid can be responsible with this).
