Slips

If you’ve ordered anything from the Fangamer store, you’ve probably seen the neat little drawing on the packing slip that comes with your swag. Each and every one is carefully hand drawn and based off the franchise your merch was inspired from. They are however terribly time consuming, and it’s becoming more apparent that we need help making them, so we’d like to open it up to the artist community. Here are some details:

• You will receive a $15 coupon from the Fangamer store for every 100 packing slips you draw.
• Coupons don’t cover the cost of shipping on purchases (or any applicable sales tax).
• You may only use one coupon per order.
• If you draw several hundred slips, you can combine your coupons together into one big coupon for expensive/multiple items.
• The cost of shipping the packing slips to and from you will be paid for by us.
• All slips must be hand drawn.
• You may re-draw the same picture several times if you’d like, but variety is always nice.
• Please don’t draw anything obscene you wouldn’t want your mom to see.
• Please base most of your drawings off of EarthBound, and some of them off of Chrono Trigger
• Do not mix the same 4-up page with drawings for different games. For example, draw all EB or all CT per page (otherwise the caption we put at the top will get mixed up with the wrong franchise).
• The minimum amount of slips we can send to you is 200.

For each *100* packing slips you draw, we’d like:
*25* to be simple.
*50* to be sweet.
*25* to be totally awesome.

If you’d like to apply for the Swag for Slips program, send an email to orders@fangamer.com with the subject “Swag for Slips” and please include the following:

• An example of your simple, sweet, and totally awesome drawing. (you can draw something and then scan it, or take a photo of it. Your photography skills won’t be a factor here, we’d just like to gauge what sort of quality you’d be producing.)v
• The number of slips you’d like to draw (in multiples of 100, but no less than 200).
• Your name and mailing address.

Please be dedicated if you want to participate, and don’t ask for more than you think you can handle. We’d like to have the slips we send off come back within a month.

Finally, generating and shipping packing slips does cost us time and money, so we probably can’t accept every application we receive. Please don’t feel bad if you don’t get picked, we still love you.

The swag is just a perk, but what we really want is for you to have fun sketching them. They make great practice too; I’ve personally become a lot better at drawing since I’ve started doing them (and don’t be intimidated by the examples, you can work within your own range of abilities). Anyway, I can’t wait to see what sort of awesome stuff you folks create, and I’m sure the people who receive your slips will be just as ecstatic!
