Fangamer’s Great Desert Bus Race

Since Friday, the DesertBus.org team has been driving a virtual bus between Tucson and Las Vegas to raise money for Child’s Play, and we’ve helped out by donating over $4000 of proceeds from our Desert Bus 5 shirt. Now it’s time for the real fun — a race!

It just so happens that our office is located in Tucson, so tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov 22) around 11:30 AM EST we’ll be peeling out of the Greyhound station in our tricked-out 1990 Chevy G20 as Desert Bus revs the engine on their Sega CD. We’ll be checking in with live video broadcasts from the road and entertaining ourselves with songs, mathematical theorems, and maybe grease fires — THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

Tune in at desertbus.org tomorrow between 11:30 AM and 7:30 PM (EST) to catch the race and chip in some money for the kids — as well as a shot at some of the random crap we’ll be giving away on the road!

Desert Bus: Now in Cranberry!

The Desert Bus hasn’t even started rolling yet, but no matter — we’ve already sold more than half of our first run of Desert Bus 5 Shirts and donated nearly $1500 to Child’s Play! The shirt has sold amazingly well, so:

  • We’re taking preorders! Order any size up to 4X, even if it’s sold out
  • We’ve released a new heather-cranberry colorway!
  • We’re donating an additional 10% of every item which sells alongside the DB5 shirt between now and Nov 23 (e.g. buy a shirt and an E-Mug and we’ll donate an additional $3.20 from the mug)

The marathon kicks off in just a few hours, so be sure to tune in and chip in :)

Fangamer's Desert Bus 5 T-Shirt Design

Our friends at Desert Bus are getting ready to begin their grueling marathon, so we thought we’d help them out: our designer Jon Kay has put together an amazing Desert Bus 5 Shirt, and we’re donating 100% of the proceeds to Child’s Play. As a bonus, if you buy during the marathon (starts Nov 18) we’ll donate an additional 10% of whatever else is in your cart!

Of course, a shirt alone is not enough, so we’ve started making…plans. In Desert Bus, you drive a bus from Tucson to Vegas. Our office just happens to be located in Tucson. We’re thinking it might be time to show those Desert Bus goons how long it takes to drive a real bus across the desert…
